Common LG Error Codes
What They Mean and Simple Solutions
FE: Washer Is Overfilling
If your washer is overfilling, close both water taps. Drain out any trapped water that may be stuck in the system and turn it back on. Press the spin button until no spin is selected and then press the start button on the washer. If the washer needs to be drained, retry the washing.
OE: Drain Hose Blockage
Inspect the drain hose for kinks or damage that could obstruct the flow of water. If the error code persists, make sure there are no clogs or blockages inside the hose. You might have a faulty drain pipe if that doesn’t fix the problem.
UE: Unbalanced Load
Stop the machine and open the door. Place the clothing so that its weight is equally distributed on all sides of the drum.
CE: Short-Circuited Machine
If the machine short-circuits again, consult a professional repair company about getting the problem fixed. Turn off the machine and unplug it for at least 10 seconds. Plug the machine back in and start a cycle.
LE: Locked Motor Error
This usually happens if the washer is overloaded or if the motor is overheating. Let it cool down, unplug for a few minutes, then restart. Repeated LE errors may need motor or sensor repair.
d80 / d90 / d95: Blocked Airflow
Your dryer is struggling to vent air properly. Clean out the lint filter, exhaust hose, and check for duct blockages. If airflow is clear, the sensor might be faulty.
tE1 / tE2: Temperature Sensor Error
This means the thermistor (temperature sensor) isn’t reading properly. Might need to be replaced to prevent overheating or underheating.
Er FF: Freezer Fan Error
Your freezer fan isn’t running properly. May result in poor cooling. A technician will need to inspect the fan motor or wiring.
