Why Use the Original Blomberg Door Seal?

When it comes to washer components, quality matters — especially for parts that keep water where it belongs. Choosing an original OEM Blomberg washer door seal ensures:

• Exact Fit – Unlike universal or aftermarket alternatives, OEM parts are engineered for your specific model.

• Reliable Leak Protection – Prevents water damage to your flooring, cabinetry, and machine.

• Manufacturer-Approved Materials – Built from high-grade rubber compounds tested to withstand frequent washing cycles, temperature changes, and detergent exposure.

• Preserves Machine Performance – Keeps your washer functioning efficiently by maintaining its original design and pressure balance.

Aftermarket seals often degrade faster, don’t fit tightly, and can lead to repeat failures or additional repair costs.

Signs It’s Time for a New Door Seal

A worn or damaged washer door seal can lead to water leaks, mold buildup, and long-term damage to your appliance. Look out for these common warning signs:

• Visible Cracks or Tears – Check for splits, holes, or frayed rubber edges.

• Water Leaks During Wash Cycles – Moisture pooling around the base of your washer is a strong indicator.

• Mold or Mildew Build-Up – Persistent moisture trapped in the seal area can lead to odors and unsanitary conditions.

• Door Doesn’t Close Properly – The seal may be misaligned or compressed.

If you notice any of these symptoms, replacing the door seal is a quick and effective solution to restore performance and prevent further issues.

Key details

• Genuine OEM Blomberg washer door seal / boot gasket, part #2466300334 / 2710540100 (replaces 2466300300)
• Seals the gap between the door and drum on front-load washers
• Flexes on every cycle, so it wears and tears over time

Common issues this part solves

• Water leaking from the front of the washer during a cycle
• Mold, black spots or a musty smell around the rubber
• Visible tears, splits or holes in the boot
• Small items getting trapped or the door not sealing

Installation tips

Unplug the washer first. The boot is held by a spring clamp at the front and an inner clamp against the drum. Note how the drain and any sensor holes are oriented so the new seal sits the same way. Work the new boot on evenly all the way around. If it feels fiddly, our technicians replace these regularly and can fit one for you.

FAQs

Why does my door seal keep getting moldy?
Trapped moisture is the usual cause. After fitting the new seal, leave the door ajar between washes and wipe the boot dry to slow it down.

How do I know the leak is the seal and not a hose?
A boot leak shows up at the front of the machine during the wash, while a hose leak usually pools at the back or underneath.
