Common oven problems we fix
An oven that will not heat or will not hold temperature throws off everything you cook. Most oven faults come from one of a few parts, and the failure pattern tells us which one.
Oven will not heat at all
On an electric oven this is almost always the bake or broil element, or the element has burned through at a visible spot. On a gas oven it is usually the igniter, which weakens over time until it can no longer open the gas valve. Both are among the most common oven repairs we do.
Oven does not reach the set temperature or bakes unevenly
A drifting temperature usually means a failed oven temperature sensor or a control board that has lost calibration. Uneven baking can also come from a weak element or a convection fan that has stopped. We test the sensor resistance before deciding.
Oven will not turn on or shows an F code
F1, F2, F3 and similar codes point to the control board, a stuck keypad, or the temperature sensor circuit. We read the code, confirm the real cause, and replace only what has failed rather than swapping the whole board on a guess.
Self-clean door stuck, or broiler not working
A door locked after a self-clean cycle is usually the door lock motor or a blown thermal fuse from the high heat. A dead broiler is typically the broil element or its relay. We handle wall ovens, ranges and double ovens.

Is it worth repairing your oven?
Elements, igniters and sensors are inexpensive parts and a fast fix, so those repairs almost always make sense. A failed control board on an older oven is where the maths gets closer, and we will tell you honestly which side of the line you are on before we start. The $79 service call is waived with the repair.
